THE BRITISH SCHOOL OF LOMÉ was established in 1983 to serve those expatriate families, based in Togo, that favoured an international education within a British framework. The boarding facilities developed quickly: the school now serves families based in many different countries.

The British School of Lomé is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged from 3 to 18 years and is attended by pupils of 34 different nationalities, 17 from the continent of Africa.
We have earned a reputation for obtaining high standards of work and behaviour from our pupils and for taking their general well-being seriously.

Aims
OUR school MOTTO ‘Endeavour Is All’ reflects that we value not only academic success but encourage talent of all kinds, whether in academic studies, art, drama, music or games; and that we take the position that the pupil who is kind and helpful, who has a positive attitude to school life and fellow pupils, is considered every bit as worthwhile as the brilliant scholar, artist or athlete.

WE AIM TO FOSTER MUTUAL understanding between people of different cultures and creeds and to create a happy atmosphere where everyone can work to the best of their ability, discover and build on their talents and grow steadily in confidence and maturity. We also aim to develop the qualities of integrity, honesty, truth, compassion and tolerance and to foster a spirit of inquiry within each of our pupils.
